Welcome to KaJin Farm.  Our farm was started on a small piece of property handed down three generations of the Nelson family. We started planting Christmas trees in 1998 to teach our son Jeffrey, who was at that time 8 years old, good work ethics. It worked!!! He is now serving in the US Airforce. We are still working the farm. The Louisiana flair to our farm comes from the fact that Jimmy spent many years in the US Navy and one of our duty stations was New Orleans, LA. We raised our two daughters, Jennifer and Jill, mainly in the New Orleans area and Jeffrey lived there until he was three.   We love the Louisiana flair for fun and like including it on our farm. The name KaJiN pronounced (Cajun) is a combination of our names.  Kay and Jimmy Nelson, hence KaJiN.

Come join the fun at our farm and possibly meet our family, with more grandchildren on the way all the time. Always expect an elf or two (in costume) waiting to help you.  See you soon.

UPDATE! 2010

This year started with the largest snowfall since we began growing trees! What a photo opportunity this became! With Milo the farm cat becoming the star of the show!

2009 - KaJiN Farm was ask to provide the "Real Tree"  for the Texas Christmas Tree Growers Association Booth at the Texas State Fair!  What an Honor!  Our family volunteered, with "Emma the Elf" (our oldest Grand daughter) to man the booth along with other TCTGA members.
At KaJiN Farm we believe in giving back to the community.  In keeping with our belief, Emma has helped Grandmar "Marsha" entertain not only at the farm but also at the local hospital and tagged along with Grandmar's Line Dance Group to entertain residents at Senior Centers. We hope " in the near future " to add our other Gkids to the elf  list. "Emma the Elf" works very hard at her job and we are very proud of her work.
